Toyota

Alternatives works with Toyota on many of it's philanthropic programs.

Toyota is one of the participating financial sponsors of the design and construction of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial to be built in Washington DC. We were commissioned to create a traveling exhibit to showcase the milestones and achievements of Dr. King, featuring a model of the proposed memorial and explaining the company commitment to the project. This exhibit has traveled continuously across the country to various Toyota facilities, Universities, Museums and other public venues.

As part of Toyota's philanthropic mission we traveled to the Galapagos Islands to film and document Toyota and the World Wildlife Fund's efforts to bring a sustainable energy solution to the protected archipelago. After a devastating oil spill, Toyota and the WWF worked together to help cleanup the area which eventually led to the building of a sophisticated fueling station and advanced recycling center. Alternatives developed a video that is used to promote the opportunities for collaboration between non-profit organizations and corporations in order to create social and environmental change.
